Only Time Will Tell

I’ve read_
Exhausted shelves of books
Yet thirst remains

Beyond religion
I’ve dug into the earth’s ground
Until my hands
Could no longer hold the hoe

Every mantra
All philosophy
Dreams
Theories

None has never given me
An answer
That settles restless mind

What happens
When we die?

Yes ,
Answers exist
Reincarcination
Heaven
Hell

Some believe
The dead roam among us
Others insist
Death is simply death
A final silence
Nothing beyond

All answers
As certain as the last
Yet none,
Fail to appease my curiosity

Only truthful witness
Is time

When I am no longer here,
When my own eyes
Cross that unseen threshold,

At last
My question
Will be answered

What happens…
